Default What shortest lived clutch you guys have had

Looks like all my 0 - 60 G-Tech testing wore my new clutch out pretty quickly. It is not slipping or anything now, but it certainly is not as crisp. I used to could chirp or spin second gear pretty easily. Not any longer.

I have put about 3,500 maybe 4,000 on this clutch.

rs flyheel and clutch.

To be fair it wasn`t slipping but was clearly fubar and not worth refitting when I replaced the tranny.

If you use your clutch as I should, then there is no need for premature wear..........

I did rag mine unecessarily and in a big way. I probably ran 50 G-Techs and was dumping the clutch, trying to feather the clutch and etc. in effort to find the best launches and times. I did get down into the 4s, but for a price of a clutch it would appear.

The last 1,000 miles or so, I have just been leisurely crusing my cabriolet. I actually dropped the G-Tech and killed the calibration on it. I think having a non-working G-Tech is properly the best thing that ever happened to my car's and their longevity.

18 gear changes per lap, 60 laps per day, 2 days per month. 2 posistion throttle sounds about right.
I don't consider it premature wear though.
