Aftermarket shift ****+adapter options for Numeric shifter
Hey all, I installed a Numeric short shifter in my 964 a while back, using the Numeric shift **** and adapter: https://store.numericracing.com/coll...993-shift-****
I'm not a huge fan of the **** itself, and would prefer a **** that is the more common ball-type shift **** Singer sometimes uses. The Numeric shifter uses a flat-style shift lever, similar to OEM.
It looks like these could possible work: https://www.nineelevenoutlaw.com/out...7shifter-wn59a, but curious if anyone has successfully installed a **** like this on a Numeric.
Singer example:

I talked with Carbone, their shift **** and adapter will work. Expensive, but I think it's worth it. https://www.carbone.pl/en/products/s...993-silver-458

Correct, replaces the shift tube with a direct connection (to the existing rod, or you can use a golden rod), and no front rod. I filled the holes left by removing the shift tube with some grommets I got from Amazon. Also upgraded the rear shift bushings (since I didn't want a golden rod).

Amazing thanks for confirming that. I'm in the midst of planning out my C4-to-C2 conversion and this will help me skip the step of needing to find a shift box, tube, bushings, and welding the box in place.

I have the Swine Eleven trim piece and the custom shifter *****/adapter for sale if anyone needed.
But here was my solution with custom shifter ****. I had two different styles shift ***** that are interchangeable, they screw onto the shaft. I change them up to match the steering wheels between prototipo and nardi.
Also I have tried using the leather boot and using the swine eleven trim piece. The set screws are hidden when using the boot.
The black one is ebony wood, the 917 style one is Mahogany.

I also used a Basil adapter on my Sleeper's Short throw shifter but paired with a Momo shift **** to match my Momo horn button on the Prototipo.

I have a Delrin Function First **** on my NR shifter. Shaft slides over the NR one and is attached with two Allen screws. Beautifully made and perfect to use.
I prefer the Delrin as it does not suffer from hot/cold depending on season and is lighter than the alloy version which is better for fast shifting.
