Something is rubbing
When I make a tight turn (I think its to the left but it may be right hand turn) I hear something in the left front (drivers side) wheel well that is making a "baseball card in bike spokes" type sound. Anyone had a problem like this. I havn't taken the wheel off yet but I'm going to this weekend. I looked but i didn't see anything with the wheel on, the car is lowered and there is about 1 inch clearance.

Pity I'm not on form - feel appallingly ill the last few days - 'flu type bug.
Ian - could it be something as simple as a stone (rock?) stuck in the tyre tread?

Ok I figured it out.
The front left wheel is rubbing against the inner plastic wheel well. It cracked it and a small peice is sticking out. How would this start to happen all of a sudden??? Maybe the suspension is sunk a little in the winter?? Any suggestions?

Mel,
That was my first thought and then I realized Ian has a Turbo so, unless he's running wider-than-stock wheels or rubber, he should be fine in regards to clearance.
My next thought was damper condition. Worn shocks with lowering springs could enable the wheel to bump the liner.
