Default Engine weight

Does anyone know the approximate weight of a typical 3.6L engine?
I am looking at a hydraulic table that suppots 500lbs. and am wondering if this is enough capacity.

Thanks,
Colin

A friend and I lifted his 2.7l onto one of those engine stands. I think that's the way to go.

500 lbs is a reasonable guess. Neither of us are pro athletes or blue-collar types and we did it with minimal struggle.

The engine weight for a 3.6 liter Carrera 2 is 238 kg or 525 pounds dry. The Transmission weight, with oil, is 66 kg or 145.5 pounds according to the factory information I have.

A 2.7 is an all magnesium construction engine that is somewhat lighter than an aluminum 3.6.

thanks for the info. I'm guessing at least a 1.5:1 ratio on the hydraulic lift assembly.
Looks like the lift table is going to be a new addition to the garage.
