Default Odometer Problem

This weekend my odometer stopped working, the speedo still works though.
So after reading a few posts I decided to take a look.
It think it may be one of the gears as the mechanism seemed a little 'loose'.
I just have a couple of questions..
1) Does anyone know of anywhere I can get this repaired
2) What is the best way to handle this if I have to get a new one in terms of recording what happened. The last thing I want is to make this car look like it's been tampered with or the not genuine mileage etc.

Someone does a repair service.

I'm pretty sure it's an independent Porsche specialist in your neck of the woods.

Could be Porsch-apart. I can never remember how they spell their name, 'though!

You're right - 911&P World had a feature on them and they do repair clocks.

Hi Craig,

Yip, the company is called "RAD" I don't have their number at work today but I will check it for you tonight when I get home and post it. Their ad is in the 911 & Porsche Magazine (near the back somewhere). I'll get it and send it through to you. Apparently they are the "Official VDO" repairers in the UK...

Cheers
Gary '91 C2 (That's going for a MOT next week ££££$$$$$ !!!)

Hi Craig,

RAD's phone and fax number is: 020 886 32305. Give them a call I'm sure they may be able to resolve your problem.

I picked the speedo up today, the strange thing is they couldn't find a problem with it. Brought it home, plugged it in and it works now !!
So complete mystery to me.
I was reasonably impressed with the set up there though and they seemed very professional, wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
