Top End Job Price in 2022

My experience was similar...
'92 964 with 139k miles. Very low oil use, but a bit of a rough idle. Leak down showed 2 cyl. leaking thru exhaust valves. On teardown, evident that motor had never been apart so definitely time for top end and reseal. Original estimate was $10k but adding in new clutch, flywheel, rebuild shift bushings, suspension bushings, motor sound matt etc and the out the door price was about $18k. Now ready for another 100k miles!!
Transformed the car and well worth the cost!

Yes! Sell it to me! I need a 964 donor for a Singer build and the top end doesn't matter to them.

This was about a year ago, but indie who did the job sold his business and moved away.....

Hey just had a top end job done paid a bit over $13 for it new clutch, piston rings, valve guides, chain ten,. cams reground, new rockers, sound pad, all new studs, all new valve adjusters, timing chain rails, all new valve springs etc.. To much to list New fuel lines
