I don’t know about that; I’m very interested (but am not on Instagram).

The engineering in particular is fascinating even though it does not seem like it’s in reach for me practically… meaning no upgrade path in the near future.

The upgrade path would be if it made sense to sell the complete engine kit which would include the Engine, ECU, Carbon Fiber Induction System, Carbon Fiber Oil Tank and Inconel/Titanium Exhaust. Would not be inexpensive, i.e., possibly around $200,000 - $350,000 but considerably less than a $2+ million restomod.

After that I will not waste your time with such notifications. FYI, with new tires, the 100 KPH - 200 KPH time in the test car, an old 964 cabriolet, is down to 7.14 seconds. Of course, my car, the America GS, weighs 1000 lbs less than the test car, has aero, a far better suspension, better wheels and tires, etc.
I'm interested but Instagram simply isn't something I use. Perhaps a lot of others on here are the same?

I can stretch to YouTube and would like to see updates and information here about this.

Will attempt to update. BTW, Instagram seems easier to use than Rennlist.

definitely interested ... please keep updating progress.

Will G50 transmission work with this engine?

What is the expected cost of the engine?

Thanks

Can be fitted to the Porsche 5-speed as well as the Porsche 6-speed. Cost including the Engine, New ECU, Carbon Fiber Induction System, Carbon Fiber Oil Tank and an Inconel/Titanium Exhaust System will be between $200,000 and $350,000.

Congratulations, Robert. I know this was the culmination of many years of effort and decades of combined experience. What’s next from here? Did you create this as a work of art/engineering or do you plan to sell engines? Or perhaps to make complete cars to compete with Singer?

Actually, it wasn't "decades," more like about 3 years. As to purpose, it was built for my own car. Did not plan to compete with anyone though it could be placed into any air cooled 911 - and without having to buy an entire very expensive restomod.

Wow Robert!
Many talk about "what if", but you have done it. Congratulations!

As others here, I am not on instragram but use Youtube and Facebook besides Rennlist.

Keep up the good work :-)

I think you misunderstood my comment. I’m assuming you and your collaborators have decades of EXPERIENCE in engineering and related disciplines that you then put into building this engine.

Thank you. Yes, the experience of the people involved is substantial.

Same here very interested, don’t do instagram. My god if I were building a singer this would be the power plant to have…I’m surprised with all the engineering they’ve put into those motors they haven’t gotten around to a 4 valve motor….

The engine in the DLS is a 4-valve although I have heard it might have certain issues.
