Look fantastic and love the more modern take on the fluted lenses. Are the buckets on your Ravens silver or gunmetal?

Also do you have any pictures of the car with the DRLs/halos on? Thanks.

Thanks. I think silver, but I would have to check. I don't, but I could get some for you the next time I am out.

They seem to be 25% off through retrofitsource for Black Friday (no affiliation) which narrows the price gap a bit.

What do people think of the DRLs? To me seems incongruent with a stock 964 exterior but a bit tempted to try since you can leave them disconnected...
THanks for the tip. That's one great thing about this site: someone's always found a better deal than I have regarding some part on my wishlist.

I don't drive mine at night much either - and would never argue that newer LED or Xenon whatever are not better - because they of course are. But some of the lenses leave something to be desired, IMO.
I put a set of more expensive whiter light bulbs in my stock lights - they look more white less yellow than stick - not cheesy at all - and I ALWAYS drive with the fogs on at night - made sure to aim them so they provide _some_ helpful light...
Still not the best but not totally horrible.

I've long thought the fogs are a good place to swap some whatevz-quality (official term) imported LED bulbs since the pattern they provide is nigh on useless for anything besides signaling "I am here" and the reduced amp draw for using them as DRL will be appreciated by your alternator.

Hi There, I purchased a set of 9Eleven Ravens on the first day they were available. The build quality is top notch and they are plug and play. The owner is super nice and helpful with purchases. The difference in night driving is literally night and day. The H5's are horrible.Highly recommended

On a similar hunt at the moment so this has been very informative.

Are there any similar upgrades to the taillights / turn-signals that you all recommend?

Well, last night I finally installed the Rennline (Flat6) lights in my 964. In short, if I had to do it over again, I'd pony up the difference and buy the 9eleven units. And I'd skip the angel eyes feature; too PITA to be worthwhile.

Most importantly, the lighting is much better than the stock H5s. Then again, my cellphone flashlight might be better than H5s. But I can see what people mean when they criticize that the kit looks a little cobbled together with various components. OK, I can live with that if everything works. However, the install took much longer than anticipated. That final screw at the 6:00 position really needs an extra pair of hands to push the light down into place. Working alone, I literally wound up sitting on the fender/headlight trim ring to put downward pressure on it, while simultaneously pushing in on the lower edge of the trim ring to make everything line up for the screw. And that's pertinent because any (re-)aiming of the system requires dismantling just about everything (trim ring, lens, reflector) to get at the 3 adjustment screws. That's gonna be a chore, if I ever have to do it.

9eleven touts a 15-minutes install, or just take it to their shop here in LA, and they'll do it gratis.

That was kind of my thought process when I bought my 9Eleven lights. I just wasn't big on the mod-podge of parts with the Flat6. Bottom line though, if the light output is good, that is most important! My 964 was borderline un-driveable with the H5's at night. Especially on the highway.

Here in Japan we have yearly inspections that include the headlight angle. My mechanic was somewhat frustrated by the lack of easy adjustment for the Ravens. Any thoughts on that?

Sorry to hear this. I’ve swapped the Flat6 lights in and out several times without issue. The trick to alignment for the screw at the base is to simply insert an Allen wrench in hole first. This will get everything properly aligned and make the final step with the screw a snap.

My only complaint with the Flat6 units is a loose contact that I have in one of the headlamps. On three occasions now I’ve driven home and found a headlight out. That’s why I’ve gotten so good at swapping the headlights in and out.

Mine are in production at the moment and I'm hoping they are as plug and play as they say...
