Thanks @ubipa. Martin tells me it's a direct replacement and the flange is now cut.

Can you explain more on "...You will need to figure out a boot for the steering shaft to body. The rack doesn't go up to the body like the OEM."

From your picture before, do you mean this boot is customized?

That’s good to hear Martin is making those changes.

Yes, that’s what I was referring to. That pic was during my initial fitment and i was actually able to get it a little more centered. You’ll need to figure out a similar grommet or other solution.

I'm building an RS rep. Have gone a long way to put her on a diet , including lighter glass ect. The manual rack would also be lighter . Power to weight !

Just paid for my rack today. I wonder if the original grommet could be used with an second offset rubber bush installed into it......

My original was a foam seal, it just got compressed between the rack and the body.

My issue with whine/noise around power steering housing got resolved after new oem power steering belt was installed. For some reason, after the 1st replacement of the belt noise was still there so I ordered Martin's manual rack to rid of power steering. As luck would have it, mechanic went ahead to replace the belt 2nd time and noise was gone (yes!).

No longer need this manual rack. Still brand new from Martin's shop and wrapped in original condition. Selling to recover some cost. Let me know if anyone is interested. Will post in marketplace but want to do so in 964 group first.

Haven’t done this yet but figured I’d add it to this thread. Martin provided details on how to add steering stops to this rack.

Get some 7/8" coolant hose.
Cut a 1/2" length, then an cut an axial slice. Pull back the boot on the rack, Slip the hose around the steering rack. Then wrap electrical tape to make it whole again. That 1/2" buffer will limit the travel.
If too much, use shorter, if too little use a longer piece
Seems a little MacGyver but should work. I am getting some slight tire rub at full turn with 18x8.5 et50 and 225/40 at RS +10 height

I'd vote for at least a hose clamp over electrical tape- if not just an aluminum split shaft collar in place of the hose altogether. There is no
rubber buffer on the stock steering stops...

Pipe clamp might interfere. I think the coupling nut goes into the housing a bit. Maybe something like the Mustang steering limit clips would be better.

@ubipa, Could you post link to the steering boot please? My steering rack has the same offset. I also love the cleanliness without all the power steering hoses. I left them in place. in case to revert it back to PS. Now I am thinking to remove them all together.

I am glad you are enjoying. I am still buttoning up everything. Just removed the old pump and all the hard lines.

Happen to quantify the weight savings versus power steering setup?
Fluid, Reservoir, Pump housing, lines, new rack vs. old rack… etc. ?
I am on a weight savings binge, and always wanted to convert to manual.
Didn’t realize there was a new solution like this, and local to me.
