Default Loan/Rent Cam and Crank Tools?

Hey all,
Looking to see if anyone has the crankshaft pulley wrench (9290 or equivalent) and cam holding tool (9190 or equivalent) to loan or rent. I figure I could remove the three cam and crank bolts with an impact gun, but want to ensure I go about the job in the correct manner.

Thanks all.

I've done it with an impact. There's no risk in dong it that way. Then you can source the re-assembly tools you need later.

I was wondering about that, thanks. Makes sense.

Crank bolt off successfully. I’m still a bit concerned with counter-rotation on the cams even when using the impact. I think it may be best to have the tool to keep that from occurring.

Unless the cam timing pin between the sprocket and the cam is sheared (your car was running when you started taking the engine apart, correct?) there's no danger of that.

My apologies. My brain didn’t click when I was looking at it earlier. Logic would show the cams turn opposite of the crank. Anyway. Cam gear bolts successfully loosened, and I scored the required tool on fleaBay since the price was good. Have it on hand for when I need it.

Remember, you need more tools than just the ones to remove the crank pulley and the cam nuts. You also need to re-time the cams so you will need the chain tensioning tools and 1 (or ideally 2) dial indicators and the corresponding holders.

Thanks. Right now keeping my focus on what I’ll need soon, as I’m going to be taking it at a near-glacial pace.
