Low mileage 91 C2. New battery installed this summer. Put the car away for the winter a couple of weeks ago and hooked up the cteck battery maintainer. Now while working out in the shop a series of thumping sounds (like the doors unlocking and locking) occurs every half hour or so. Most of my experience is with G body cars and older so not familiar with what is going on here. Thoughts?

Can you post a recording and which part of the car it sounds like it’s coming from?

Sounds like it it coming from the mid section. Really sounds like auto door locks although the locks are not moving.

I had something like this happen and it turned out to be the central locking control module. It would buzz and click and occasionally make a small thunk.

I replaced it and that solved the problem for the most part.

Now, it seems to act up if the battery has been disconnected for a while. It goes away after a charge or a good drive.
