Michelin Pilot Sport A/S - tire life
Datapoint re durability of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S for anyone interested:
Had to replace a rear Pilot Sport because I hit something sharp. The tire vendor honored a hazard warranty and in the process assessed wear on the tire based on both time since purchase, and remaining tread depth.
With 17 months since purchase and nearly 12,500 miles on the tire, the vendor said the tire had only worn about 30% (70% remaining).
'90C2 with Design 90s, rear 225x50 R16 filled to factory recommended pressure of 44psi, mixed city & freeway driving. No track time. Northern Virginia, mild winters (some snow) & warm summers.
