I agree but it’s also finding out what it’s been painted when a low mileage car. Car history is sketchy with a lot of ex Japanese cars. Same as in Europe cars that come from Italy wouldn’t be as highly regarded as cars from say Germany. History tends to not be as good.

I can see what you mean...wonder if it’s the angle or it is the car. It’s subtle but I agree there’s something there.

Pretty car a mighty fine price. I think Rubystone might be the most sort after colour...more so than some of the rarer optional/PTS colours. My wife has a Boxster in what is the modern equivalent Ruby Star...we bought that before I’d even thought of buying an RS. Be quite funny if we ended up with two Ruby cars in the household.

Default Considering Selling 964RS Touring with A/C at 49,000 miles

Neat car just 76 World production numbers (Carrera 964RS M002). Great color, original Mg wheels, super rare factory 959 type sport seat option and unobtainium Factory A/C (cold and not R12). North Carolina title.

Will consider all offers above $300K. This is Porsche's "SINGER" they got everything just right!

No just 76 (M002) for the world. My computer is in the shop or I could send you some references that are bookmarked. The N/GT was produced alone the lines of just under 300 N/GT=Clubsport= M003).

FWIW, Paul Zuckerman was discussing his 964 RS Touring (M002) on a recent episode of Spike's Car Radio and also said there were only 76 of those made.

I wonder if the factory employee putting together this fax on Feb 12, 1993 would have thought that people would be referencing what he sent almost 30 years later on "the internet". I've got boxes of material like this from the gentleman who first purchased my car. I pulled this out just to see what porsche said then about production #s... 76 Touring is the correct number...

Thanks for that clarification. I didn't realize the touring and sport versions used the same vin numbers. 👍

Can you verify how many cup cars were built prior to 1992? The info I have is 120 but it appears there were 125 made possibly earlier.

Anthony,
I'll check. What exactly are you asking though? the fax I posted shows 112 cup cars built in 1992 for a total of 282 since 1990. So to me that says 160 were made between 1990 & 1991.

The library of information is really fun to go through. The guys at the factory in Germany must have all known who he was. He asked SO MANY questions. lol
