Just a heads up about a car from Pelican i had inquired about a few months back but looks like another user also had a run in with it. This targa was sold by a broker last year and the buyer lied and said it was his dream car and so on and got it for cheap $35,000 because it needed work and had some rust spots, i guess the buyer as soon as he got it listed it on PCA for $65,000 not disclosing any of its issues . Someone reported him *i think the broker which sold him the car* and he was banned from posting on PCA - He waited till spring and listed the car again this time on Pelican again not disclosing any issues , so the broker which first sold him the car bumped his original for sale thread "exposing him" , and some other pelican users which were interested in the car called him out, he didn't reply in any thread but removed the listing.

I'd get a serious PPI on this car if it was to pop up again, and certainly wouldn't buy it from this seller, which happens to also be a user here user name :u7t2P7 here is a thread he tried to pawn his car in and a pic of the car

u7t2P7 has now been banned. He is also nrets617 on Pelican and was previously known as deadhead1960 both here and on Peli, first name Jay. In addition to creating a second user name to try and defend himself (an automatic ban), deadhead1960 was removed on Rennlist for consistently misrepresenting the cars he was selling and purporting to be an enthusiast who was selling his personal vehicles. https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ml#post9233019

A search of deadhead1960's name in the posts (not titles) will reveal a trove of information.

Rennlist is a community of enthusiasts whereupon many expect a level of trust and honesty, something that can be in short supply here. Be honest with people; when you misrepresent, you're just crapping in the pool.

I was also talking to seller , he is a bold face liar, avoid him at all costs, the admin is right, I checked his name with a party that dealt with him and indeed his name is Jay Podolsky.

Yes, he helped me find a very rare 993 4-5 years back. He was nice and asked for nothing in return.

I sold him some Porsche seats about 5 years ago. the box was damaged and gave him some money back. I always thought he was a dealer based on his posts.
