Yellow bird sans venting or anything other than the bulbous factory version.

Specially for Mr. Wolfe as promised. Took some photos of the mud flaps on the car but needed torches to light things up a bit since my car is still in the garage. Been doing some gardening today and left it late to take photos. There is a photo of the patterns in cardboard that I designed, which was fairly easy. Also a photo of the fixings I’ve used. The chromed arms can be detached, but I have left them on mine. The mud-flaps can be taken off very quickly if necessary if you leave the arms on. To remove them just squeeze them together one by one and they release. If any more instructions are needed just post up! Brian.

I can't believe those parts are so pricey. They must be low on inventory. I picked up several pair a few years back and they were only $110 for the pair back then.

I have them on my C2 and they do a great job of keeping rocks from damaging the rear quarters and rockers. I even have them on my track car.

Although the inner mounting point doesn't work on the narrow body cars. You can cut the rocker to add a speed clip or cut the mudflap to eliminate the last hole.

Sorry, I have been away. Good job, those will definitely help keep rock chips away. Thanks for posting the pics.

Brian, did you make your own patterns or did you use originals as overlays? I like them and they seem an easy and effective solution. Nice car too.

Thanks I love my car’s colour. Yes I made my own patterns. It was easy to get the required curves etc. I first used a piece of paper and pressed the outline of the wheel arch into it. Then drew the rough shape I wanted and when happy with the result I cut them out. I drew the shape onto a piece of thinnish card. Then found some sections of thin plastic which I already had, that were actually sections a roofer would use on the bottom edge of a tiled or slated roof to seal off the underneath edge of the roof just above the rainwater gutters. I drew around the shape then cut out the shapes with a strong pair of shears/scissors. Then sanded the edges so they looked better. The fasteners are from any stationery shop etc. and clamp the mud flaps onto the fender edge as shown. Cost me the value of the fasteners only. Have a go, you can’t lose! If you need any more help just post up.Good luck. Brian.
