Default AMSOIL oil

I’ve always used brad penn oil in my 964.

but I’ve been using Amsoil in basically every other engine I’ve owned from cars trucks boats and bikes.

so I was curious on what they recommend for the 964 non turbo and this is their recommendation.
what do you guys think?

It's 5W too low, and 40 not enough? I'm sticking with 20W-50 green oil...

Brad Pitt and Sean Penn made a great collaborative oil for the air cooled Porsche community. Stick with it (them).

I use the Amsoil 20W-50 Z-rod. I wasn't expecting to notice the change from Kendall Liquid Titanium 20W-50 (previous owner), but the engine does sound slightly quieter. I also just went with the Amsoil because there is a shop down the street from me that sells it. All they sell is Amsoil.

I've run Amsoil Zrod 20w-50 full synthetic in my 964 for about 5 years. I noticed right away a major improvement in valve clatter. I strongly prefer the oil for its high ZDDP additive.
