Ok reading all agin it makes sense

Probably my front wheels have a larger visible lip as the hub itself it s not as out as it would be using correct RS 3.8 components that would keep the wheel itself more outwards with the hub brake and all and so with less outer lip.

I didn t know about that front end difference just about the differences at the rear between the RS 3.8 and the Turbo

I will look into it and see if it s interesting to convert but only after I made some other things

I don't mind the body colored rockers on the widebody cars.

As others noted the 3.8RS/RSR used the front widebody top and bottom mounting points with the narrow body rear trailing arms with slightly stiffer bushings.

What parts are required to do that?

Maxi_z has recently post a bunch of questions in other threads, and these were the first pictures we had seen of the car (or I had). Of course we are all blown away.
This is a positive place, where we share and support. Maybe some tough love here and there, but otherwise 99.9% positive.

Maxi_z, I hope you understood that too.

I knew it was a bad joke, and possibly easy to misunderstand given the medium of communication.

Back to "thumbs upping" posts & geeking out about 964s!
Best regards,
Udo
Udo , my bad ! I guess the sarcasm of the whole intent to maintain originality just got lost on me at the moment and flew completely over my head !
No problem I see your point and appreciate your giving me the opportunity to catch up just usually used to taking comments for face value
and not reading between the lines , must have missed his initial build thread ..
Really liking this and of course Anthony's car ! Although common Ant the 3.8 RS was normally aspirated right ! Haha !

Some wrenches. There are two settings on the tub below. The narrow body cars used the inner mountings the W/B the outer. There are 4 bolts per side. You need to swap both upper and lower at the same time. The upper requires removing the strut and rotating the hat to the outboard setting.

This is the best picture i can find of the lower settings you can see the bolt hole (lower right) to the left of the longitudinal that is the inboard position mine is using the outboard settings.

You have me there and my initial intent was to build a 3.8 motor although for track duty nothing like a low boost engine for cheap reliable HP. I will see around 500+ whp with about .7 bar of boost and can turn it down till I figure out how to drive the beast. With the rate cars are getting faster trying to keep up with GT3RS's requires more than just drivers skill today.

I have been searching for a donor car to build a true 3.8 RS clone like Maxi_z has for street use and sell off my C2 but I can't bring myself to chop up a good example as so many have gone this route. So until I find a car like I used to build my track car I am in waiting mode. Although the turbo power and short geared 6 speed makes for a pretty satisfying experience.

Back to Maxi_z's car. Let's see more of that interior, such a clean lower dashboard (radio delete, etc).
