I'm cleaning out my old electronics and came across this OBD1 interface kit with Acer NoteBook running Win XP. I hate to just toss this stuff out as I figure someone here will need it. The Acer booted up after a long wait. I have no way to test OBD1/Acer combo.

Yeah, that's OK. Notebook is really slow, but once booted, worked fine for reading codes. But I can't say it will work without issues and I don't blame anyone for not wanting another piece of old electronics. I can recycle it as well as anyone else.
