Funny... when you realize these Bosch FPR adapters are so readily available, you can find multiple port variants easily:

http://thedubshop.com/universal-fuel...ure-regulator/

https://subimods.com/radium-engineer...regulator.html

Top it off with a $40-50 Bosch 3.8bar reg: 0 280 160 542

or a custom adjustable built from a Bosch 5bar reg:

I ended up the 993 fuel rail route.. here’s a pic.

I just received the 928 motorsports fuel pressure gauge that screws right into the measurement port. Makes more sense for me to be able to diagnose if I have a problem before I just replace parts for no reason.

Nice work. I was looking to something really similar but stumbled across a really scruffy set of 993 rails so this now looks to be the simplest route as I don't think that I need to make any new hoses for my application.
I was planning on the line from the fuel filter entering at the front of the engine and then the crossover line at the rear instead of the diagonal line. Out of interest, did you ever consider this or just stick to the 993 setup because it's tried and tested?

I'm just about to take this route but want to re-plate the rails because the used set I picked up looks like it's been at the bottom of the ocean for a few years.
To do this I was planning on removing the hose and replacing it after the rails had been plated.
Anyone else done this?
If so, I don't suppose you have any photos of the fittings inside the hoses so I can see how the hose is attached.
Thanks in advance.

They are polyamide barb... to replace with something similar, you’d be looking for a rubber insulated variant. Size and source seem to be a questionable factor. Is the hose bad? Just keep it on for re-plating?

Thanks for replying . Is the hose bad? I don't know, that's part of the problem. It's a 24 year old used part which I have no real idea about and the rest of it looks pretty sorry for itself. It will clean up very nicely with some elbow grease, preparation and re-plating but ideally I would also replace the hose.
One of the other reasons for me asking the question about the fittings or attachment is because you can twist the hose in the fittings at both ends so I'm not sure if that is because it has failed or the fitting in the pipe rotates. If it has failed then I have nothing to lose and may as well cut it off, re-plate and get a local specialist to fit a new hose - if it's possible. This is the bit I don't know about so was reaching out to see if anyone had done it before. I'd be surprised if I was blazing a trail on a 25 year old £900+ part which in reality only needs a minimal spend to refresh for another 24 years but I can't find any evidence of it being done.

Here’s a pic of the barb (not mine). The pipe is rotating on the barb. Not a great thing, but hard to tell if it’s an issue until pressurizing. Was the rail in use? How rusted is the inside?
