The PSS-9 is a 9 way adjustable dual coilover suspension. The adjustments are for bound and rebound on the shock. the shock is also fully threaded
so you can adjust the height to you preferred setting.

We also have a new suspension that allows you to adjust the bound and
rebound independently.

Thumbs up

Just a quick note on FVD-USA. I've been buying from them for a couple years, now, and they sell top-quality goods. They're good people to deal with who love Porsches.

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

Hi Guys,
RSAErick:I emailed Germany asking them for the specs on the coilovers and was told they will not release that info because they are custom made for us from Bilstein and we are the only company with PSS-9's for the 964/965. I can tell you however they are set-up for a perfect balance of street and track driving. Also if you wanted we could have them set up to your spring rate, though we don't reccomend it as the valving is set up for our rate. Probably not the answer you were looking for, but its the best I can do right now
Joey:Thanks for the kind comments, we appreciate your business. Be sure to let us know if you need anything in the future!!

Hard to know what we're buying if we can't be told spring rates. My experience with the 993 PSS9 is that the springs are too soft, I'd like to know if Bilstein "fixed that" with the 964 version myself...

I'm interested in these - I have a Euro 964RS which is just perfect (if a little, erm, "surprising" on the track but incredibly, knock-you-off-line-and-bloody-hell-that-hedge-was-close hard on the road.

What effect will PSS-9 have for me bearing in mind that I will (once I get a set that fits) be running BBS magnesium 18" rims?

Cool

they are set-up for a perfect balance of street and track driving
Ummm... this could mean anything; perfect for whom? I'm sure all aftermarket suspension setups market themselves as "a perfect balance of street and track driving"

As they are adjustable I'd want to know the min/max bound/rebound rates and the spring rates, else I might as well go buy leda/nitrons/whatever.

If Bilstein (for their HD) and Eibach/H&R publish their rates why not publish them for these? How else are we to compare them to anything else apart from buying them and trying them out?

Some sport spring companies publish their spring rates. Some may want to know whether they are softer, about the same, or stiffer than the advertised rates for H&R springs, for example. The H&R springs for the RSA with Bilstein HD dampers is a popular compromise for road and track (although not great for either). How do you think the PSS-9 compares to that?

Can somebody show me a "coilover" construction/suspention? I don't know what that is, at least I can't translate it decent.

In answer to Julian, if these pss-9 units are the dual coil type then you will get a car that handles far better on the road and will still be a good car on track. However it's likely they wont match the track manners of the standard Euro RS( but they'll get close). The dual coils allow for a small softer spring to take up the bumps and ruts on the road(compliance) while still having the main spring to do the hard work with. In a track car the small spring becomes a little redundant as the last thing you need is too much compliance. The other thing to check is that these units are suitable to mount to your uniball top mounts! if not you will have to go back to the standard rubber top mount and you will be "softening" the suspension some more. Overall I know the pss-9 has had some very good reviews it's a case of you pays yer money and takes a choice!
