Default White little flakes blowing into interior

After i start the engine very little (looks like snow) flakes which are blowing in my interior .
After 1 minute running nothing comes out anymore.
They look to me like plastic .Tried to burn some but does nothing.
Does anyone know what this is?

A couple things to try and please report back the results

1) Turn the ignition on but engine off and run the interior fans as you normally do, do you get the flakes?

2) Does the temp settings affect the flakes - full AC vs full heat?

3) Have you had any recent work done to the car? If yes, what?

The two things that come to mind are deteriorating foam on the flaps or plastic dust caused by the rear fan blade contacting the housing. My dust was from the fan, eventually it sounded like a chain saw and I changed it. No more dusting since then.

I bought a car that sat outside for a while. Mice built a nest in the deteriorated heater ducts where they meet the body in the engine bay. The exact same thing resulted. So, check your heater ducts for holes and debris.

1. Yes immideately as if the dust has sattled down. Which it does because the longer the car stands the more dust/flakes.

The car is always i a heated garage so almost impossible .The flakes do'nt look like paper but like plastic? as if a plastic bag after years perished.

I tried to burn some to see if its paper or plastic but it doesnt burn or melt. So maybe its aluminium?

The insides of the heat tubes coming from the sill to the hvac unit are lined with a reflective coating maybe aluminum not sure on the heat tubes that run from the heat exchangers thru the sill to the cabin. If you pull them off count on replacing them they are pretty fragil after almost 30 years

Maybe that is the problem we were thinking also in that direction. But then it would be a well known problem for the 964.
I asked several specialist here in Holland but nobody has heared of this before.
