Unclear to me if the 964 steering rack remained the same during all production years? Vertex seems to be saying that there's a late one (92+) and rack doctor is selling one for 89-94.
PET lists three versions, one for left hand drive, a second for right hand drive, and a third that is without power steering for the RS. I would say Rack Doctor is correct.

Who's right?
Thanks a lot!
No, the rack did not remain the same during all production years. It was a changed from a piston to rotary driven rack and the plumbing is not compatible between the two. All during production there were groaning and noise complaints that only got worse with the Turbo models running 18" wheels. Eventually during production of the 993, after replacing pumps, lines, connections, etc. PAG discovered you could put a simple brace on the rack to get rid of the noises (the elastomer holding clamps were modified somewhere along the line too) And now everyone sells that rack brace as a "performance upgrade"...
