I’ve run 225/40 and 265/35 on the street, 235/40 and 275/35 on the track, and I just installed 235/40, 265/35 on my track wheels.

I like the 265 on the rear. The rears needs spacers and the oil lines flattened, maybe. Mine have been.

You gonna need s healthy spacer in the rear. I used a 21mm and fit 265’s but it’s tight on my car.

i run 245 front and 275 rear tires. I started with 22mm spacers in the rear and got just a little bit of rub on the inside of my right rear. I'll probably try 23 or 24mm and see how much clearance I have on the outside. It's also important to note I have pretty aggressive camber as well.

hmmmm, thanks gents, so is this running10's on the rears? if i go with 8's i would be gaining 15mm with the offset and another inch with the narrower wheel, which is 25mm...so do i gain 40mm of clearance but end up with only maybe 245/40 rear tires...not sure how all that will play out...help....! think i would rather have the 10's out back anyway, since i already have them as well...

run the 8s in front w/ 225/40 tires and the 10s in back w/ 265/35 tires. The back will need 20mm spacers and the oil line will need to be flattened, You can run bigger ires, I've seen up to 245/35 in front an 275/35 in back but there is an inertial cos and gearing cost to do so, the 225/265 is a good place to be

these are 8/10 245/35 & 275/35

Bill, did you end up buying my buddy's old car? He used to run it in G-stock before getting into GTB1 with a Cayman.

And yes, my photo above is a set of 996 wheels: 8's and 10's.
