Default PDAS/ABS Accelerometers clean

I'm having trouble with my PDAS/ABS systems. The warning lights come on all the time after a short drive. After reading extensively in this forum, Adrian's book, and elsewhere, I think that my accelerometers are funky and I'd like to clean them. However I don't see any filings or dirt, but I did notice what looks like a burn mark around both of the accelerometers where the left hand screw holds the circuit board. So, my questions to this forum are 1) do these look clean to you, and 2) is there any way the mark around the circuit board screw could be from overheating? I don't know if I should replace them or try to clean them and put them back in, which is a real PITA, or just buy new ones.

Clean or replace might depend on the Porsche tax on them

Located in the centre tunnel below the PDAS and spoiler switches. There is a small carpet covered access panel on the right side of the centre tunnel just forward of the gear shift lever.

If you want a permanent solution I'd fit the solid state ones that are now available (no affiliation)

Could also have nothing to do with the pdas/abs sensors.... after chasing down those lights on my own car I finally replaced the clock(yes the clock) and it got rid of all my warning lights. The solder on the back of the clock goes bad. Either order new clock or repair solder joints if you’re able. Or there’s a couple places to have the clock sent for repair.
Those sensors look clean to me, but a resistor etc May be bad.

I've got 2 coming from china (Taipingyang Auto parts). Think that I found them on alibaba. Great price: 2 for $100 delivered. Will post how well they work after I get them.

Do you have a link for them. Didn’t know alibaba sold that stuff!

Kayaknfly, after searching my browser history endlessly, I finally found it. Here is the URL: http://www.niparts.com/Fac/215345/BOSCH/0265005100.html On that page you will see "Post Buying Request." Clicking on that will take you another page/form where you can fill out your specific info. I still haven't received the parts (ordered 2 of them) a $28/ea with an hefty $44 shipping charge. Still, worth the $100 for 2 if they work. I will post how they work when they get here and are installed.

Interesting. How in the world did you find those?
Let us know how they work out. Thanks!

I'm very anxious get these in and see if they work. Will certainly let you know - they haven't arrived yet. I found them by searching for the Bosch part number, not the 964 part #. I have found that this sometimes works well and, when successful, results in a much lower price. Found a ICV that way & it is working well.

Update: The ICV that I bought on alibaba is still working well. However I cannot say the same for the accelerometers that never arrived. So, please don't use the link that I posted above and get ripped off like I did. But I do want to note that these were NOT bought off of alibaba. That web site is upright.

Just following up on the clone accelerometers. Did they work?

Be safe.
