Prices dropping on 964ss?

Contrary to the earlier post, according to Hagerty, Ferrari 355 cabs trade at a $6k premium to coupes (GTB) and Targas (GTS).

I love cabs. The Hank Moody 964 cab (well both of them) from Californication is my GF’s favorite car, I guess she forgave the fact that she found out I had a 993 cab after we had been dating for a while.
If anyone knows of a very nice late model mid-91-94 C2 manual cab in green or blue or GP white with blue interior, I am in the market.
I think as the 964 buyers get older and the cars are less viewed as performance cars and more viewed as collector/cruisers, cabs will increase in demand relative to coupes. Not sure they will ever be worth more than coupes, but you saw that happen with so many other cars it seems likely with 964 that verts will increase in demand.

I’m obviously not a very objective arbiter, but I can tell you that people very regularly stop me in gas stations, supermarkets, parks, etc. to tell me that my 964 cab is beautiful. At least once per month, someone leaves a note on it asking me to call them if I ever want to sell.

Who cares?
Seriously, who cares which cost more now and which will cost more later and which they produced more or less of? When looking for an investment, the LAST place I look is at cars, any car. Sure, some might and do increase in value but they still cost a substantial amount along the way in repairs, maintenance, storage and insurance. And let's not forget the delicate balance between driving to enjoy it but trying to keep the mileage down so that the value goes up.
IMHO when it comes to cars, buy what you want and enjoy it. Pretty sure I am the perfect example of this. I wanted, found and bought a C2 coupe Tiptronic, and I knowingly paid too much for it. NO ONE wants Tips. Coupes with Tips are extremely hard to find but no one wants them so the value is down. Not only did I knowingly pay too much, but I have since dumped a bunch more $$$ into it that I will probably never get back.
Totally don't care. This is the car I wanted and I love it every time I drive it. I look forward to spending more $$$ on it to make it exactly how I want it, regardless of resale or purists.
The "negative" for me though is that now that I have the car I truly want, I have pretty much lost all interest in all other Porsches. I never kick tires at the dealer and spend all my time at C&Cs looking at other 964s to get ideas for mine.

I've wanted this car for too long, and enjoy it way too much, to let it sit there and "save" it for someone else. As far as I am concerned, there will be no someone else, so I'm going to make it mine and enjoy it as long as I can..

This could describe me as well. I crossed 105K miles on the way to the track this weekend, which means I've driven 6K miles in the last 10 months. I'm not stopping till at least 200k miles.

I think a well sorted 964 C2 coupe with speedlines is a great looking car and it would rank high on my desirability list, but I do think longer term 993’s will retake the crown.

No, that’s not correct, Hard tops were a regular option, albeit not very commonly ordered.

if this were 10 years ago I think most would agree but we see low mile 964 coupes trumping 993's by a considerable margin. A low mile 993 S/4S will bring about the same as a supper low mile 964 coupe or RSA but not the base 993. I don't think it will ever go back considering how many more clean low mile 993's there are vs 964's. But as said you buy the car you like in decent condition and you won't get hurt with either.
