Hi,

I opened up the back to check my oil tonight and now the hood won't latch at all. The latch works fine when operated by hand, but when I close the hood it seems to only partially latch and when I take my hand off it clicks and reopens. Any one else had this problem? Do I just need a new latch? I couldn't find anything in the archives.

Note: I don't have a garage and it's dark out, so a detailed examination is waiting until tomorrow morning.

The problem was a lot easier to fix today in the daylight. I just adjusted the latch up about 1/4". A little less clear is why it would suddenly stop latching. Maybe the parts contracted enough from the cold to keep it from latching?
