Hit me up when you’re here for Luft we can get our two venture tour cars together for a reunion 👌

The best way I can describe the noise would be Subaru meets helicopter. Lol. I find the primary bypass a bit too quiet for my taste - might be time to bite the bullet and look for a full exhaust. I won't have my car at Luft but I will be in the area all week and hoping to soak in as much Porsche stuff as possible, so I'll stay in touch. Hoping to meet a lot of the west coast 964 owners I've chatted with on here.

Car is looking great and the 944 looks Fab. I'm slowly dropping hints to my friend that if he sells his 944 turbo I would be inclined to take it off his hands. Sorry you didn't like the added noise of the secondary delete but it's definitely not for everyone. I have the primary and secondary delete and love it. I wish I could turn it up louder hahah

Haha, how do you still have any hearing left??? One thing I have noticed is that 2 964s of the same year can have the same exhaust mod done and still sound completely different...each one seems to have it's own very unique personality. Could be my imagination though. I loved the sound from the outside, but inside the car I thought my brain was going to explode.

I'm sorry could you repeat didn't quite hear you? HAHAH! You could be correct on that. I will say after the engine was rebuilt it isn't as loud as it used to be.

Had my detailer come by yesterday for a spring cleaning - he spent almost 10 hours on doing a 3 stage polish and coating on the cars. Very impressed by the results.

Love the sport seats.

Another beauty

Hi Jarod, I just read this thread this morning. That is such a beautiful car and I love all the mods that you have done. It’s just about perfect. Your recounting of buying your car as a young man really got me reminiscing, as it did to others who read your story.

Mine is not so different. After a childhood obsession I finally bought my first 911 at age 24 in April 1988. It was an 30k mile Arrow Blue non-sunroof car with sport seats that a US military guy brought back from Germany. I purchased the car in the US from his estate for $13,500 US. I told my wife I was buying the car to flip as I really couldn’t afford it (our 3rd car) at the time.... thank god it didn’t break on me. Anyway, I didn’t list the car for sale as I had promised and instead I drove it from April until the end of November that year. A young doctor approached me at a party, ( the 911 was parked outside and he tracked me down) he begged me to sell it to him and I ended up with a nice Corolla GTS on trade..... the Toyota was 100% profit on the trade. I swore that someday when I could really afford it, I would be back in a 911. About 15 years and 2 kids later, I bought a 1984 Carrera and that started me on a restoration and collecting binge the continues today at age 56. So far, A life long love story with air cooled Porsches.... and they have brought me so much joy!

Thanks for bring all those memories back!

Thanks Greg. Sounds like especially for those of us that got into it at a really young age, the Porsche bug is nearly impossible to shake. Worse problems to have...
