Default sold my car....

sold my 1991 964 c2 yesterday for $17500.00 .
i sold a 1985 carrera last year for $14900 and it was sold very fast.
difference of 6 years in the cars and technology and i really struggled for 6 months to sell the c2.
the c2 was in excellent condition and had a lot of calls but no takers.

makes no sense ...does it?

It never seems to make sense. The variables of buyers and the inexplicable popularity of some brands or models always makes me wonder ... if I let myself think about it. What kind of shape was your car in?

So, what will you drive now? J

I think it all comes down to the place and time. There are a lot of people right now saying that the 80's 911 are the ones to have because they are becoming harder to find good examples of, who knows really! Still if your 964 was as good as you say it was $17500 is a good price. Best wishes and good luck finding another one ASAP - Jay Gratton

Hmmm, sorry to say, but I think you sold the car too cheap......
Patience is worth it.
I hope you will buy a other one in the future

Spikes:

I'm sorry you had to sell your C2 for less than what you expected.

It seems that the region of the country has a lot to do with prices. Prices seem lowest in California. The east coast seems to have the highest prices followed by the mid west. I would suspect Porsche imported a lot of Porsche's (as compared to other regions) to Florida, hence your state might have a higher supply vs. other states (excluding maybe CA).

Supply and Demand always comes into play. In my state, there are very few 964's to be had. Period. So, values could be higher here than say in California where I would also assume there are higher concentrations of cars and more to pick from.

How many miles did your 964 have on it? Did it need any work, mechanical or cosmetic?
