Tool for removing rear shock mounts

Gotcha.
You are looking for a socket that has an opening through which you can hold the top of the strut. They are available. Otherwise you can use a "through socket"
I think this is what you are looking for. I can't remember the size - 17mm?
But as has been mentioned. If you just hit that nut with an impact gun it'll come right off without spinning the shaft.
Just be careful w the springs. Lower the height adjustment on the strut to as low as possible to relieve as much spring tension as you can.

Sorry, I got carried away. The sockets I showed are good for front suspension, holding the top nut with an allen key fitting of some kind.
