19mm sway bar bush tight!
Hi guys,
I’m installing a 968 CS sway kit on my 951 and the rear bush seems too small for the bar. It’s got the correct 964 number for 19mm sways but it’s hard even with larger pliers to get it together. When measuring the ID it’s only 17mm. Did they stamp the bush wrong?
Bush.nr: 964.333.792.00 which is supposed to be for 19mm sways.
And when I just mount the bush without the sway it’s space on each side of the bracket but maybe I really should torque it down so hard but with sway also it’ll be impossible I gu
ess?

They're made to be a tight fit to avoid knocking noise. Have you tried installing them? I noticed the same when I got new bushings for my wife's Subaru, which is definitely not a performance car. It was exactly as you're seeing here, and when I put the bracket on, it compressed the bushing and it was fine.
Let us know if it doesn't work, I'd be really surprised if it didn't!

Thanks, i tried installing last year actually but gave up. Have to finish the car so really needed to give it a new go.
After some input from the 944 crowd they also said it’s really tight but supposed to be like that.
Anyways, after some persuasion the bars are in place and brackets torqued down!
Thanks for input!
