I've written this post several times as the dates approach and deleted it because it sounds lame. But reading some threads inspired me to ask afterall. I'm not looking to loiter or be a pest at someone's business, but it would be nice to know if there are any cool Porsche culture type places to visit while I'm in LA at the end of this week. I'll be with some non car buddies who will probably party more than me and I'll be anxious to get out and find some hidden gems. Singer would be great but I lack the dough to ever be a realistic purveyor of their work. Are there any "Dude, if you're ever in town you gotta check this place out!" kinda joints? Like an Accumoto or a Flatsix or a Zeroto60 (MN and WI shops). A few years ago I picked up my 993 in Costa Mesa on the weekend of CNC and I was blown away by the O.C. CNC and the R Gruppe showing. The recent Twin Cities CNC had a new ford GT a P1 a 750S and I saw a couple GT3 RS's on the road recently. I've cruised the lots in Newport many times and I'm not looking to see the newest hottest hyper cars and their uber options of fine grain leathers. See this is probably why I kept deleting my post. Just looking for an authentic LA Porsche scene spot. Maybe i'll just stay in and watch No Man's Land thru the smoke. LOL
First of all stop by the Peterson Museum and see the "Porsche Effect" display. That will kill about 1-4 hours depending on how much you "geek" out. May 19th will be Porsche and Pastries at Enderle Center in Tustin (sorry not LA). Starts at about 7 am and goes until 9ish. You could also take a drive to Streets of Willow to check out POC Porsche racing event this weekend both Saturday and Sunday. That is a track in the Palmdale/Lancaster area. Friday night on Rodeo Dr is always a sh&t show as well for the Hyper car spotting.
The Porsche Experience in Carson City is a nice one hour diversion (just west of Redondo Beach) the racing geek like me liked the raceshop viewing, etc.
DO NOT MISS THE PETERSON MUSEUM "Porsche Effect" display. - and the Ferrari Exhibit including multiple cars inc. a '62 GTO (worth about $36M !) and the basement tour as well ............
My girlfriend is in Denver this weekend, so I may take my 993 up to some of the best driving roads near Malibu on Sunday in the Santa Monica mountains. I'm a native of L.A., so I know the place well. Feel free to send me PM if you wanna tag along or need any general LA info. Also, the Petersen Museum on Wilshire is a good call, as their Porsche Experience is a must-see.
Lots to do and see in LA. Others have made some good suggestions above. If you (or anyone else) wants to check out a small(ish) and new mostly porsche cars and coffee show, the second gathering of classic cars cafe is at the Glen Center this Sunday from 7am-noon. Plenty of parking and we had a great turnout for the first event a few weeks ago. The Glen Center has a great new market to check out as well https://jaydesmarket.com
the huge irvine C&C is long gone.
The one at Enderle center is fun, mostly air cooled porsches
Stop by auto kennel
Period correct

The malibu cars and coffee can be good i forget what weekend it is
you'll see lots of p cars early on the weekend in the hills above malibu. i may be there depending on the mood

LA area is a big place, you saw the pics of Luft... there are a lot of porsches in this town, just don't all tend to congregate at the same time
