At that price, it would be fair for you, not for him.

Default Fair price?

If the car is "right' and well maintained that is a crazy low price!

The seats look like 993 seats.

The car based on the pictures and if it runs well is a steal at that price and many people would jump at the chance to beat you to it. Sounds like you found a great buy...

Cars worth 40k unless it's been wrapped around a tree. 993 hardbacks are $4k minimum.

Check the carfax to make sure there’s no previous big accidents or mileage issues.

Wing, mirrors, door handles, stereo, seats and pedals are not original but all are easy fixes if that’s what you’re after.

The only other things to watch is oil leaks, on a 90 if the car hasn’t been resealed the leaking can be excessive to the point that the car isn’t drivable for long periods. The oil will leak onto the exhaust and smoke heavily once the exhaust heats up.

Other than that the car is an absolute steal at that price.

Seats are not 993 hardbacks, they are the more common and much cheaper 996s.

Nice car, great price.

But LPMM said, they are not 993 hardback seats.

A C2 with those miles that is clean, well maintained and never been in a wreck is worth $50,000. I think in this case white is relatively rare and adds to the value.

Advise your friend on what he has and tell him you either can or can’t afford $50,000.

Offer to buy it for what is willing to sell it to you for and then commit to keeping it as opposed to flipping it.

Or offer to help him sell it and split anything more than $29,000 you can get. If he agrees to this offer, post the on Bring A Trailor. Instead of you being $20,000 richer, you’ll both be $10,000 richer and you’ll still be friends.

If you can take the car from him guilt free for $29,000 knowing it is worth $20,000 more, you aren’t truly his friend.

If the car, like you, is located in Puerto Rico, be sure it hasn’t been pickled (flooded) from the big storm last year y’all are still recovering from.

seems too good to be true.

That car would bring in 50K if it was in the Midwest.
