No but they do protect the seats from wear, spills, etc. My 964 has silk grey sport seats (and >150K miles). The previous owner had installed some "cheapskins", while not as nice as the ones referenced above, they undoubtedly helped to preserve the condition of the seats.

My dad had them on his seats for years, it always felt like I was sitting on top of the seats, not in them.

Yeah I prefer not to have a seat cover, but want to preserve the seats, so, the sheepskin question. Kinda 80s fab in a way. Maybe I could order them with the fur cut short to make less puffy/on top feeling.

It only takes a few minutes to swap seats and there are lots of options if you want to shelf the original seats to preserve them.

I got some real sheepskin on the sitting side covers from COSTCO 15 years ago and still work great. Here in Fl where the top is seldom up it protects them from the sun and you dont burn your legs when sitting on the scalding hot leather. Think I paid about $50 for the pair.
