Smart, he has to behave and work his way up.

That's the type of story I want to hear more of! Very cool connection. Sooner than you think, you be posting your drive with one of your kids. Time flies...

My Pop taught me on his '72 Corvette. Sometimes the Funday car is the only one around with three pedals.
Totally agree, it's about the experiences and memories. Love '72 Vettes.

+1 Enjoying the hell out of it, and sharing the experience with others!

Renn-Meeting weekend!

Had a fantastic road trip weekend with my oldest, Maximilian (15). He's grown up in the back seat of a 964 and has been a companion on countless 964 adventures over the years. Super proud of how this kid is growing up, and really enjoy just talking him for hours about everything under the son as we motored down the road. He attended the BMW Teen Drivers School on Saturday, so we made a "guy's weekend" out of it and headed up to the mountains afterwards to see if the BMW instructors really taught him anything... Looking forward to many more road trips with my new co-driver. Driver!

Another bonus was putting a face to a Rennlist name, met up with dukmon. What a gentleman! First of all, it was cold and rainy the whole time we were together but that didn't faze him at all. He knew all the great roads (love driving with locals), and we spent a couple hours chasing each other around the mountains, followed by a great lunch talking about 964s. Looking forward to heading back, but this time it might be a drive and mountain bike weekend. Thanks Chip!

Now on the the pictures (BTW, my son also loves photography, and will share his trip pictures soon)

At the BMW school... I really wanted to take the 964 out on their driver's handling course!

While Max was at school, I had a rainy play date with RL's dukmon.

Post-school mountain drive, seeing if Max learned anything...

Great meeting up. Really enjoyed the day.

Can you believe the weather swing between Saturday and Sunday?

Sunday still sucked until we passed Marion. Pouring rain or fog the whole way. Then as we get to the switchbacks and steep part up HWY 80, all of a sudden we were in the sun.
I guess we helped-out the situation by climbing a 1,000 feet higher. Lots of crazy fog afterwards too, but that was another good thing for my new driver to experience.

Can't stop thinking about those sexy BBS rims...

It's a shame you boys don't have better scenery to set off the cars more.

Awesome! Absolutely love pics of these cars in the rain for some reason! I need to stop being so precious about mine when the weather is crap!

Here are some of Max's pictures. Love rolling shots.
Really love having him around, he's got a fresh perspective and a great eye for a good shot.

Had a great time blasting through the countryside, but there was a lot of traffic in the city...
