Haggerty Classic insurance Value on my 964 / Agreed value quote.
Just got off the phone with Haggerty, so thought i'd share my quote -
i'm keeping a 91C2 964 coupe for myself , got full coverage "agreed/guaranteed" value of $60,000 and the quote is at $1650 a year which seems pretty reasonable, i'm 40 years old clean record living in CA & car is 2nd car will be garaged.
Thats with Zero deductible, if added $1,000 deductible would only reduce yearly quote by $250 so not really worth it.
Anyone with first hand experience with haggerty to chime in? does this seem right and is this guaranteed/agreed upon value pretty solid? and yes i do know there are a few threads regarding this but wanted to share my own

You may want to check with other agreed value carriers as well (State Farm, American Modern, Safeco, Grundy etc...). I am a firm believer in high deductibles for these types of policies. With the frequency most of these cars are driven and the fact they are stored in garages, the likelihood of a claim is very low. I know there is another thread going on now, so claims do occur, but they aren't very frequent. That $250 per year adds up quick. I know there are many variables that dictate rates but for a point of comparison, I am a 46 yr old married male with 800 credit score with a $70k agreed value policy on a 94 C2 from State Farm. 250k/500k liability, 100k property and $2k deductible for $560 per year. I'm not sure if Haggerty sells other products as well, but I typically shop my entire insurance needs in one place to maximize discounts.

I've had a great experience with Grundy agreed value policies on my triumph and my 964. I think my car is at 100k agreed value and they didn't even flinch when I put that number on it.
I had a small claim over the summer which they were super quick to process and pay.

State Farm products vary by state. Their agreed value policy called classic or collector car insurance here is too inflexible to be useful in my case

I called Hagerty and State Farm today and here’s what I got.
Hagerty agreed value of $55k on Targa was $1,200 a year. They quoted $1800 for Spyder agreed value of $65k which I thought was high but better than the alternative of not being covered for its full value in the event of a total loss.
State Farm quoted $800 for the Targa with agreed value of $55k which I thought was excellent. Unfortunately they couldn’t provide agreed value on the Spyder yet, only in another 3 years when the car hits 10.
I’m calling Grundy next week to get pricing from them.

I think it is time to up the agreed value on my 61k mile 93 C2. Just means premiums will rise but I guess would be too hard to replace.

Around 1400 USD per year with a 250 USD deductible. Allowed to be driven daily, limited kms to 7500 per year. Value agreed at 78k USD. Must be garaged at night.
Locally insured, but reinsured in Switzerland.
Non agreed value was for 500 ish USD per year, but a total loss would see me go home with 20ish k USD only.
I prefer to cover the full asset.
All just to give perspective from another part in the world.

Resurrecting this thread because I have been reading about agreed value insurance. We are finally getting serious about an agreed value on my wife's 93 C2 coupe, but our current policy holder does not offer one and I am looking for options.
Is there someone who does not require limited use (limiting mileage is fine) for agreed value? The car is not a daily driver, but we want the option of driving it when we want (like my wife drives it to work sometimes), rather than worry about whether the insurer considers the use within the policy agreement.
Do we need an appraisal for agreed value?

I believe State Farm offers an agreed value limited use coverage and they didn’t request an appraisal when I inquired. Problem is that they didn’t offer anything on the Spyder and it has an even larger discrepancy than the 964 at this point. My preference would be to stick a maximum of two insurers, one for the DD and the other for the fun cars.

One of the big issued with these policies is whether or not they will cover diminished value after an accident.
You should check with the insurance company and see how they handle.this. This is especially important as these cars climb in value ,so they become harder to total.

I have used Grundy for years on a few different cars. Have my 964 with them, $45k agreed value (just increased that this morning). $340/year. No deduct. Had to replace the windshield a year or 2 ago. They paid ~$2600 to have it done right with factory glass. My only claim with Grundy, ever, but they were great.
