Default Acceptable cold Leakdown values?

I just had a PPI completed on a 1990 964. The car produced the following values. Advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Leakdown (cold): #1-7% int, #2-15% rngs, #3-11% rngs, #4-8% rngs, #5-15% rngs, #6-14% rngs.

Why cold and not hot? anything between 5 and 10% warm is usually fine. Lower is great but usually not realistic. If your paying for this I would have them redo it warm as these numbers are high but most likely because the engine is cold.

Ditto. Cold leak down numbers are pretty useless.

Thank you. But I find that hard to except given a highly reputable Porsche shop elected to do it cold.

Then I would definitely ask them why they wanted to do it on a cold motor. Common practice is always to do it on a hot motor.

Then they should be able to explain the numbers and where the leakage is occurring. Intake valves, exhaust valves, valve guides, piston rings, head gaskets, etc and why the numbers are so high and why they feel it is acceptable or not. If not it is time for a new shop.
