Default What does your 964 Weigh?

I’m curious to see what actual weights are for the various versions of the 964 as I know weight has a big impact on handling and acceleration. I figure many here have had their cars corner balanced so we should have a nice variety of car weights. If you could please include any modifications made to the car to reduce its weight and the approximate fuel it would help. I’ll start.

- 1990 Carrera 2 Targa
- Completely stock except for recent suspension upgrade
- All tools, spare tire and Roof were installed at the time of weigh-in
- Slightly less than 3/4 Tank of Fuel
- EDIT (180 for driver)
WEIGHT: 3012 Lbs

Are truck scales pretty accurate? How are you all weighing your cars?

I weighed mine at a PCA club race on their official scales. I wasn’t racing that weekend and asked for a weigh in during some down time.

After installing the new shocks and springs I had the car corner balanced which puts each of the wheels on separate scales and gives the weight at each corner. Combining the scale values gives a total weight.

Good info. Mine is being corner balanced this week after having some suspension work. I'll get the weight then.

Preesh.

We weighed our cars at the local refuse transfer station. They charge fees based on the weight of refuse dumped so are regulated and hopefully accurate. The sight of 911s in the queue was enough to get this service free.

I took my car to the local scrap metal place they charged me $15. Then recently i did a job for a concrete plant and they were excited to see a porsche so let me use the scales for free! I stood on it to check it's accuracy and it showed an accurate 100kg
