"easy" weight loss? - post your contributions
I yanked the stereo head that wasn't working and the 25 year old passenger air bag today. I left off the shin pad that houses the glove box. I'll be ordering a lower dash delete from rennline I think. bummed I missed the 15% off sale a week ago. Also pulled the 2nd muffler.
lower dash - 12.2lbs
radio / passenger airbag - 9.4 lbs
radio & airbag covers from renline ~ +1lbs
2ndary muffler - 21.2lbs
replacement pipe - ~1lb
Full weight of car before removal with 1/2 tank of gas. 2918lbs. Yes, I know 1/2 tank of fuel is a BS point to weigh the car from. I don't know exactly how much fluid weight exists in the car...
Other non-stock details -
BBS E88s + Nitto NT01s.
Fiberglass ducktail
what other "easy" weight removal exists on these cars?

I like where this thread is going. I also just recently competed the lower dash delete, great project!
RS interior can shave off over 100 lbs. Remove the carpet and insulation (reportedly 69.4 lbs.), rear deck and speakers (10 lbs.), frunk carpet ((6.5 lbs.), rear seats (16.5 lbs,), rear quarter panels (5.5 lbs.), and rear seat belts (4.5 lbs.), and go with a lightweight RS carpet (8 lbs.).
Lower dash delete in process
Weight is the enemy

A street car is full of compromises. And I don't want my family to refuse to be in the car. So if sound deadening is 15lbs, I'm going to keep it. But I do think that the stock seats are heavy. Would love to delete the sunroof. but that will need to wait for a better excuse than I have now...

I love weight loss threads! I'm going to remove my engine under tray which is aparantly 10kg. Also my sound pad in the engine bay is stuffed so I'll take that out and aparantly that weighs 5kg. Have fun!
