I found this article in a box of old letters that I have been dragging around with me since the 1980's. At the time I was a 914 owner and aspired to own a 911. I was 24 years old and didn't have two nickels to rub together at the time so it was just a dream. This is a fun read. Amazing how much emphasis they put on the incredible and innovative tiptronic transmission! My times have changed. I bought my first 911 in 2007. Well I hope you enjoy.

I chuckle at the part about them having a hard time keeping up with demand for the Tips. If that were the case I think it would have been MUCH easier to find mine.
