Flat6 Illumination BI-LED Lights Installed
#16
Does anyone know the spec of the screw at the bottom of the light that holds the ring on? Torx? I lost the bit and need to re-secure the outer ring... it came undone at the top.

One of my outer rings popped off and is only being held on by the screw at the bottom. I took everything off and tried to snap the ring back in place so it attaches to the top side of the light underneath, but it doesn't seem to be holding. Considering double sided tape at this point. Anyone have a better idea for me, maybe something I'm overlooking?

The H4 headlights are held on by clips on the top and the single screw at the bottom. The paintable trim rings are tricky to install but snap over the existing trim ring and are held by the single screw at the bottom. If your headlight is coming loose, double check the angle of the screw tab. It should be leaning forward, so that as you tighten the screw, it pulls the headlight down towards the ground.

The headlight itself is not coming loose, just the trim ring itself is no longer snapping into place at the top or anywhere else -- so just staying on from the screw on the bottom. I took everything out and couldn't get the ring to snap back in/catch on anything and it's only on one of the headlights.

Yup, you can also bend the lower metal tab in the light housing (where the screw goes in) outward a bit for a tighter fit. I need to do this on my right headlight as the trim ring is a bit loose.

H4 and H5 trim rings are not compatible. Different inside diameters, too.
