Canadian Speedometers originally in kilometers ?
Hello american and canadian friends,
would you know if all 964s delivered in Canada (C36) were equipped with a speedo in kilometers, or were some equipped with speedo in miles ?
Thanks !!

ok, thanks !
I just purchased a C36 car that was imported in the US, and the CarFax mentions "miles" all the way.
But since the speedo is actually in Kms, I was wondering what was what.
So I guess I could trust the CarFax "mileage" data to be the numbers read from the speedo at given inspections.
Anyway, thank you very much !
I have other questions about deciphering the carfax report, but I guess I could find some answers on other topics. I'll check that as well.

The general consensus is that Carfax isn't very reliable for Canadian cars who've spent their life in Canada. Carproof is a much better resource. I know personally I've done checks on Canadian cars with Carfax and no issues were presented, a Carproof has revealed things the Carfax didn't.

Actually, it's a 92 car that was registered in the US from 1996 until now, and the report mentions a couple new owners, and registration renewals in between.
The mileage doesn't grow much then, but it grows as expected from the very first US registration.
It seems legit to me, but anyway you never know so the car's condition was my main motivation for this purchase.
