Finally got a chance to see it up close and it looks sensational.. they really did a good job with the paint..dropped off alot of the parts since they'll start assembly soon..

They didn't like my idea of not installing any carpet inside.. although the inside finish isn't at the level it is outside, I like the raw paint and the exposed brackets and the (soon to be installed) wiring looms..

Between the new ride and this restoration I would be completely distracted from anything and everything else in life.

The paint looks amazing, can't wait to see it assembled and in the sun.

Heck with the paint. That shop is amazing. So clean and well laid out. They must do great work.

Its a great shop - recently opened but doing many resto projects, mostly Porsches.. they're doing a pretty sweet 993 with a GT2 kit.. their instagram is @kanooperformance

OK - got my rear lexor panels from P4P.. they looks good! went with louvered but closed since I don't want the cool AC air escaping..

Hi

So the build reached a point where they started assembly and discovered that many parts needed to be replaced. I ordered all the parts and they arrived last week and the work has commenced. I passed by today and saw that they were installing the front suspension after replacing the fuel lines and fuel pump and a bunch of other stuff. Looks like I'm on track to getting the body completed soon, the only problem is the engine is taking much longer than anticipated.

Before I post the progress pics, we noticed that the bottom part of the gear shifter extends beyond the bottom cover. The previous owner dented the cover from the inside to accomodate this. We have no idea why, but my guess is he switched the shifter to the short shifter by didn't do the installation correctly. I checked a thread on rennlist which showed the installation and the owner basically widened the hole and installed a bushing to shift the entire tube. I don't know if I'm explaining this properly, but those who have done this will know what I'm talking about, or I might be completely off! Here is the pic, followed by progress pics
