trans issue
Hello,
I have a 5 speed transmission (93, 964) that was rebuilt by a reputable shop near me. When it's hot here in Chicago, my transmission becomes difficult to shift into lower gears. Is there anything I can do besides not driving on a hot day? Should I look into a transmission cooler?
Thanks in advance.

Unless you're doing long and hard sessions on a race track, then you might need an aux cooler...
Check out the hydraulics first. Condition of slave cylinder, slave cylinder hose, brake fluid level and fluid age/condition. Maybe bleed the system.
Also look to see if your motor mounts are sagging.
Consider changing the gear oil. Mobil 1 Delvac is popular.
Then check the condition of the linkages in the tunnel.
