Looking for some 968 Turbo RS style vents
I am about to have the car resprayed, so now is a good time for some "Exterior Upgrades". I want to pattern my hood after the 968 Turbo RS. I know NACA ducts are easy to find, but anyone know where I can get a reverse hood scoop like that one? I think it will complement the flow of air through the IC when coupled with a header panel vent.

The hood duct I'm sure will work great due to the low pressure area created.
The vented nose panel on the other hand..... I don't know. I see a lot of them installed, but honestly, I have my reservations on the effectiveness of them (in fact, it's possible for the vented nose panel to worsen things... not make them better) simply becuase the vents are not in a high pressure area like the front vent, and as a result , you have a pressure difference between the vents in the nose panel, and the factory air intake. This pressure differential can and probably does, cause a loss of air flow through the intercooler.
This opinion is not proven, and just speculation on my part, but I've had some people look at them that have aerodynamic design backgrounds. They have agreed, but could not confirm since they never tested the car in a wind tunnel....

I see your point, but I seem to remember someone doing a before/after test of the intake air temperature, and finding a decrease in temp with the vent. I really wish we could get some conclusive evidence on this subject.
If the vent is on the lower face of the header panel, it would appear to be in a much higher pressure area than the higher face, which continues the hood's shape.
BTW, does anyone know what that Reverse type looking hood scoop is called? Maybe I could find one if I knew what it was called!

I would love to drive that 968!
I speculate that the raised front fenders of the 968 pull ariflow right to those sweet little factory ducts. W/O the fenders, as with the 951, maybe bigger ducts, and/or differently placed ducts would be better?

Is that carbon fiber or just carbon fiber overlay??
p.s. A good friend of mine just went from being a director of a customfiberglass/carbon fiber shop, to owning it. Already talking to him about to more cost friendly fiberglass and carbon fiber stuff. He said once everything has settled from the change in ownership, he will let me in the shop at night to do whatever I need. Just gotta pay for materials at cost.
