Default Piggy backing on speed sensor and ABS signals?

I want to connect a speed signal and possibly the ABS wheel sensor signals to my new ECU.
Any issues piggy backing on the speed sensor in the gear box or the ABS sensor?

You can tap into the speedometer sensor wire and feed it to a high-impedance input on the ECU without problems. Info in this write-up may help:

I haven't tried to tap into an ABS sensor signal, but as long the ECU has high-impedance inputs, I'd imagine it would be fine too.

Thanks, I will start with the speedometer signal.
