I think you Europeans get a little bit more oomph on your cars than we do in the US. I haven't tested it out or anything, but I think stock my car is limited at 167mph. That car in the vid is going ~180mph.

During this little trip my friend was side by side with an Audi RS2 which speedo indicated 272 kph (169 mph).
It tells pretty much about the accuracy of 944s speedos ...

Heh, cool. Thought Thom, I don't think it is exactly legal to drive that fast in France.. But of course, silly me, this was done under controlled enviroment on some race track by professional drivers.. Just like me last summer..

To me a taller gear would equate to lower RPM's needed for a high speed. Im not a scientist nor am i a automotive engineer but it makes sense to me.
