I seem to be swimming in ECUs and MAFs. Please help give this a good home.

All,

I just posted elsewhere and then saw this thread might be relevant...sorry for duplication...

I have a new M-tune and some idle/AFR issues. I installed a just bought M-tune and K27 turbo as well as vacuum lines all new and a new idle control valve (ICV). With the ICV connected, the AFR at idle it sometimes 12 and sometimes 16. With the ICV disconnected (well, I mean with jump cable between B-C diagnostic port pins), I can set the idle to 1100 RPM (like now) and cars drives great. My ICV is the $100 aftermarket one from 944online and not the $350 Porsche one that they also sell. Not sure if that is a problem with M-tune.

Suggestions?

Maybe the rich condition this thread started with was badly adjusted AFR (set for correct idle, but not for correct WOT). Does the ICV and the throttle plate screw setting affect AFR?

My FQS setting is at "0" and I have the 3-bar Bosch but have not measured it. Vacuum is -18 at idle.

TPS idle circuit may be faulty, try disconnecting the TPS and see if it makes any difference?

good suggestion, will do. However, if TPS were faulty it would be faulty with the ICV disconnected as well, right?

Probably, but for the sake of the 2 minutes it would take to unplug, I'd do it to eliminate it.
