Who makes the best head gasket these days ?
Starting a 1986 2,5 951 engine rebuild. Planing on going for a hybrid new gen turbo and about 1,2 - 1,3 max boost.
last time i did this i used a cometic head gasket but i didnt find these for sale anywhere.
What do you guys use ?
Also, which rods and head bolts makes ?

I like regular Victor Reinz gaskets but if you are set up for a MLS Cometic is still around...

ARP and Raceware make new rod bolts/nuts. Both also make head studs but I like the stock studs better.

I used the Cometic MLS in my recent rebuild. So far I've done a bit over 4000km's on it including two track days. It's held up well so far. There are others with many more km's on theirs.
I had both the head and the block machined, and I used ARP headstuds torqued to 85ftlbs. I also lightly misted both sides of the head gasket with vht copper gasket spray.
I bought mine on ebay, but I believe lindsey racing stocks the cometic in various thicknesses for the 944.

the stock Reinz gasket is a little more forgiving to an imperfect surface (service replacement, block in car is hard to get perfectly clean but the head you can have cut smooth/flat at a shop.
