Just a quick heads up, no more of the 968 type spoilers are available from 944Racing, and unfortunately, they don't sound like they will be making any more of them.

I got my request in just in the nick of time!

Congrats on getting one!

Did they tell you why they were discontinued?

Email me if you have any questions while you are doing the install, I'd be happy to help!

Are you painting the trim pieces black and the spoiler in the body color?

Well, since my '87 is black, the answer on the color question is "yes" lol. I haven't fount out yet why they went out of production, if I find out, I will let you know. I have installed a 968 spoiler before, so hopefully its not too much different.

Thanks for you help!

This is something I've always wondered. I have a late 951 US(MY 90) and it has the "normal old" black rubber spoiler. But the MY 90 & 91 turbos should have the bridge spoiler! Is it really so, that US-specs 951 did not have that?!

Jack,

I think they look best with the wing in the body color and the trim in a satin black. That was the combo I did on mine. I saw another red car with the wing and trim all in black and the wing kinda "disappeared" and at first glance it looked like the standard black rubber wing. Hope that opinion helps!

There were no MY90 sold in the US. All MY90 & MY91 Turbos and MY91 S2 have the bridge spoiler.

Your late US 951 is probably manufactured after the MY89 specs.

well, at least according my 951's VIN it IS MY 90 !! and it is US specs. There were 144 951's imported to States under model year 90, so...
But I guess you may have a point..? Anyway, it is '90

Interesting... what suspension do you have? MY89 had M030 Koni yellows mounted as standard, but MY90 and MY91 had the black Sachs/Boge struts.

koni yellows, M030, LSD, douple airbags, 10-speaker system, AC etc etc.
Like I said, you might have a point there..
We are talkin' only about 144 cars here, so maybe factory did an exception?..

oh well, I still want that bridge spoiler..

Folks ... I have decided to sell the 968 bridge wing I got last fall. It has been sanded by a good body shop and is ready for pait. The bodyshop and myself have no idea as to how to mount it. I believe we have to take the studs off the old spoiler and epoxy it onto the new one. I have decided it is too much trouble and am passing on it.

I am selling for $425 US which also includes 3 gaskets that I bought seperately. Picture is shown above ... the one for $425.

If interested, e-mail me at jaakl@rogers.com

Is this the standard 968 spoiler or the thing shown in the pic on the red car? I don't want a track wing.

MichelleJD ... it's NOT the track one. It looks like a standard 968 bridge wing on the rear glass. The bottom picture is the actual one.
