As the title states, does anyone know of a reputable shop in the Western New York area that either specializes or is knowledgeable of the 944/951 transaxle for a rebuild. I know the first thing I will be told is to buy another one... this is for a good working low mileage gearbox that I'm updating with WPC treated gears for strength and smoother operation.

Kevin Gross did mine two years ago. Still running strong and great to deal with. I shipped mine to him by Fed Ex.

Thanks for the reply. I will keep in touch as this isn't going to happen immediately, just doing my research ahead of time. I still have to send in the parts for treatment and clean up the gearbox before I would send it out. For the most part I'm just looking for someone to reassemble the thing correctly, I will have every part clean and labelled so no surprises.
